Overview
The concept of Trauma-Informed Care is becoming a much bigger part of the conversation in our communities, and rightly so! It is an experience that we all face as human beings. Our contemporary approach to healing and well-being is a shifting landscape, away from an old paradigm of being told by someone in a position of power how we feel and what we need - to a person-centred and collaborative exploration.
Healing through insight.
Trauma-Informed Care is crucial in manual therapy because through this lens we acknowledge the impact of trauma on physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, allowing us as therapists to cultivate a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and insight, while reducing the risk of retruamatisation.
In this 85 minute lecture we discuss the principles of trauma-informed care and how we can approach these within the CranioSacral Therapy setting.
We discuss topics such as Window of Tolerance, Titration and Pendulation, Movement Release, Dissociation and a Mindfulness-based approach - and more!
Subtitles in Chinese and Finnish are available.
